Description
Feedback:
“If you export contacts to CSV, it is sent to your email address. If you export to Excel, it is downloaded immediately. That's not clear at all.”
The user is confused by the inconsistent methods of receiving exported files, depending on the file format chosen. The user’s broader need is for a clear and consistent export process that behaves predictably, regardless of the file format selected.
To address this, the platform could standardize the export process. For instance, offering both delivery options (email and direct download) for each file format would clarify the process and give users control over how they receive their exported data.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by mapping the existing CSV and Excel export flows and deciding on a consistent delivery experience. Done means users receive clear, predictable export behavior regardless of the selected format, with the final interaction agreed and implemented.
