Research direction
Start by reviewing the GitLab 1.12.1 self-hosted setup, NGINX placement, and Mattermost Docker deployment, then reproduce the account-connection flow after authorization. Check the plugin's GitLab connection entry points and available logs; done means a Mattermost user can complete authorization and connect successfully.
