Description

Hey everyone!

Is there any setting currently available for us to toggle the usage of template when using the create issue modal.

We use templates to cover a handful of different topics that we would ever only create an issue for, so this would be very handy.

First steps

  1. Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.
  2. Comment on the issue to say you are picking it up — it saves two people doing the same work.
  3. Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
  4. Open a pull request that references the issue number.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is identified in the issue. Start by locating the create issue modal and checking how issue templates are currently handled, then determine where a user setting would belong. Done means users can choose whether templates are available in that modal and the behavior is covered by appropriate tests.
