emojis are always represented as ?

We use default Mattermost 5.18 on [Kubernetes](https://docs.mattermost.com/install/install-kubernetes.html) and get all emojis only shown as ?.

When I look at the database, it is displayed correctly:

Anybody got any ideas?

Start with the Mattermost 5.18 Kubernetes installation configuration and compare how emoji data is stored in the database with how it is rendered in the client. Identify the encoding or deployment setting that turns emoji into question marks; done means emojis display correctly in the client while remaining correct in the database.
