Incompatibility with "Vanilla" menu bar manager

Vanilla is a menu bar management app that let's you hide / move menu bar icons into different areas (fully hidden, hidden until expanded, or always visible).

(I'm in no way affiliated with the software, but I use it).

In any case, it works great with ALL menu bar items - except for anything created by xBar.

If a menu item is created by xBar, the position is re-set every time xBar quits or the computer is restarted.

Sometimes, it just resets the position randomly, too.

Hope we can find a solution for this, as Vanilla really is valuable for those of us using lots of xbar plugins to display lots of information.

Start by reproducing the reported behavior with xBar and Vanilla: move an xBar-created menu item, then quit or restart xBar and the computer. Inspect how xBar plugins create and recreate menu bar items; done means their positions remain stable across those actions, including the reported random reset case.
