Description
WebAuthN being a now widely supported standard, more secure and convenient could be a great addition to the supported login types. Also I don't think it should be seen as a second factor solution but a standalone password-less way to register and login to a home server.

Research direction
No files or tests are named. Start by locating the Matrix specification's login-type definitions and determine the protocol requirements for a m.login.webauthn flow, including passwordless registration and login. Done means the proposed behavior and specification changes are defined clearly enough to implement and review.
