Description
XMPP has a specification enabling applications to request and receive structured data from clients, they call it data forms and it is support by the main XMPP servers:
https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0004.html
Such a feature would greatly facilitate the creation of bots, and would give a boost to the matrix ecosystem. Among other things, it would allow websites to enable users to achieve certain actions directly from matrix, thus enabling countless opportunities. Are there plans to support something similar?

Research direction
Start by reading XEP-0004 and comparing its data-form concept with the Matrix protocol specification. No file, test, entry point, or concrete acceptance criteria is provided; a usable contribution would first need an agreed scope and a specification location.
