Description

Submitted by @matthew:matrix.org
You need the 'kick' power level to retract an invite, and normal users don't have that, so can't rescind invites they accidentally send. This feels wrong.

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by reviewing the Matrix specification's invitation and power-level rules, especially the 'kick' requirement. Update the relevant specification text to define self-retraction for invites sent by normal users; done means the permission rule clearly covers that case.
