Description
Hello,
I want to use $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] and web server performs the necessary authentication and sets the $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] server variable when a user is authenticated.
Do I have to inform the ldap server?
THanks

Research direction
Start with the LoginLdap authentication configuration and the PHP $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] entry point mentioned in the issue. Determine whether web-server authentication requires any LDAP-side configuration, then document the supported behavior and required setup. No specific file or test is named in the issue.
