Description

It would be great to run the container as non-root, preferably as random-non-root (via nss-wrapper). That's necessary for restricted kubernetes (e.g. openshift).

If you agree, I can provide a patch.

Research direction

Start by locating the repository's Docker build and container startup entry point, then review how nss-wrapper could support a random non-root user. Test the image under restricted Kubernetes or OpenShift-style security constraints; done means the container runs successfully without root privileges and retains its expected behavior.
