Description

When I open a man page in the terminal, I can't scroll down with the trackpad, but only with the up\down keys. If I scroll down with the _down key_, only then I'm able to use the trackpad to scroll _up_, and also to scroll _down_ as much as has been scrolled down with the down key.

Any ideas why this happens?

Research direction

The issue names no file, test, or entry point; start by reproducing trackpad scrolling in a terminal man page on macOS and inspect the repository's shell and macOS configuration. Done means identifying a repository-related cause or configuration change that restores downward trackpad scrolling without first pressing the down key.
