Description

Hi there!

Found a [Data tables](https://material.io/components/data-tables/) on material.io and I wonder, when you will release it? Saw that 1 year ago it was unimportant, but it's a great thing on Android, especially if it will be with diagonal scroll and fix headers feature, like Google Sheets android app is working. It will help for a number of statistic apps (Like apps for CRMs and so on). Yes, there are a lot of ready solutions on github, but most of them have serious issues or not customizable enough.

Research direction

The issue names no source files, tests, or implementation entry point. First confirm whether DataTable support is still planned and clarify the scope, including diagonal scrolling and fixed headers; done would require an agreed feature specification before implementation can begin.
