Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
no. but I'd like to know whether material-components supplies such ui-component above

Describe the solution you'd like
A standard BottomSheetBehavior snaps to predefined states (e.g., EXPANDED, COLLAPSED) when a user lifts their finger. I'm looking for a component that, instead of snapping, simply remains at the exact position where the user released it.

If Material Component does not supply the component. May I contribute Pull Request based on my project?

Describe alternatives you've considered

Research direction

The issue names BottomSheetBehavior but no source file or test. Start by checking the existing BottomSheetBehavior implementation and documentation against the requested free-scrolling behavior; done would require a maintainer decision on whether this belongs in the component and, if accepted, a defined API, implementation scope, and tests.
