Description
From a ServiceNow request by Michael Aiello, DPH (SCTASK0056409):
Hello,
We have been running into some interesting situations with making advisories.
Advisory pages have a required field of "referenced sources." However, not all of our advisories have or need referenced sources. We are sometimes then forced to put something else in there, like the organization, which is then less helpful and often redundant. See our most recent example:
Additionally, the language in the CMS is confusing. Under the Referenced Sources field, it says "Legal citations related to the advisory." This is confusing our programs, who aren't usually making advisories about legal content and don't realize they could use that field to link to non-legal sources.
I would recommend that 1) we remove the referenced sources as a required field, as it is not always applicable, and 2) that we change the language in the CMS to avoid further confusion and let programs know they can link to non-legal sources if they need to.
Thanks,
Michael

Research direction
Start in the CMS configuration for advisory pages and locate the Referenced Sources field and its current help text. Confirm that the field is optional and revise the wording so programs understand that non-legal sources may be linked; verify the advisory form and page still behave correctly.
