Description

Dear excellent EOTSS and amazing colleagues,

We are the department of Early Education and Care. There is no way of making our site cleaner and easier to use day by day without the hard work and improvements you have contributed to build the CMS. When we are trying to customize our site with visualized documents and embedded images, we find the current setting is quiet limited.

In this Info Detail page, there are three major difficulties we hope you can solve:

  1. The default image placement does not allow image resizing. Whatever image is automatically enlarged to the width the same to the text's width.
  2. There is no option of hyperlinking embedded images.
  3. There is no function of image preview.

Our suggestions are:

  1. Certain ways to resize the images that are embedded in the rich context. And ways to edit the image placement in the context would help breaking down the context and make the constituent understand our page better.
  2. Add hyperlink image function in the rich context editing window, just like hyperlinking texts.
  3. Create a window that allow the user to preview a file.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and inputs!

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked Info Detail page and its three reported editing limitations. Done means providing a defined approach for resizing and positioning embedded images, hyperlinking images in the rich-text editor, and previewing files, with the expected behavior for each agreed.
