Research direction

Start by reproducing the board-tilt sequence n,w,n,w,n,s and compare the resulting failure with the linked screenshot. Trace the movement handling reached by those directions and identify the condition that produces the error. Done means the sequence completes without an error and the regression is covered by the project's existing test approach, if one is available.
