Description
If you have such data class:
@JvmRecord
data class Service(
val serviceId: Long,
}
and such java record:
record Service2(
long serviceId
) {}
and use them in mapping:
@Mapper
interface ServiceMapper {
Service2 fromService(Service service);
}
Then plugin will false warn about absent target mapping, but MapStruct itself works well.

Research direction
Reproduce the warning with the Kotlin @JvmRecord data class, Java record, and ServiceMapper examples from the issue, then compare the plugin's mapping analysis with MapStruct's result. Trace the inspection or mapping-resolution entry point that handles record properties. Done means the false absent-target-mapping warning no longer appears for this case while genuine warnings remain.
