Description

There have already been requests for adding:

* Time of day
* Long term trends (with decay over time), with the ability to diff recent conditions against long-term
* Dominant direction of movement
* Mode of transportation

Is there any reasonable way to address these without adding the complexity of complete metadata generality?

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing how tile point counts are currently represented, then assess whether time of day, long-term trends, movement direction, and transportation mode can be supported without general metadata. Done would require a decided design and documented scope, which this issue does not provide.
