is it possible to somehow include it in encoding?

Research direction
No file or test is named in the issue. Start by locating the library's public encoding and decoding entry points, then trace how [lon, lat, z] coordinates are handled. Done means a three-dimensional coordinate can be encoded and decoded without losing its z value, with coverage for that round trip.
