Description

For example, when calling positionForLocation(CLLocation) on a terrain node, you do first need the terrain node to have finished loading. Otherwise, this will throw a cryptic error that's hard to understand and won't guide you to the real problem.

Research direction

Start by locating the terrain node implementation and the positionForLocation(CLLocation) entry point. Reproduce the call before terrain loading finishes, then identify the existing error behavior. Done means the call is checked against loading state and reports a clear error that explains the terrain is not ready.
