Add example for custom notification

We expose an api for customising notifications with `NotificationOptions.java`.
It's currently unused and untested. Adding an example to the test app would resolve this.

Start by reading NotificationOptions.java and locating the test app mentioned in the issue. Add an example that exercises custom notification options, and verify that the test app demonstrates the configured notification behavior.
