Description

Some navigation applications repeat the last spoken instruction when you tap on the turn banner. This way, you can slam your thumb on the top part of the screen without taking your eyes off the road. Nowadays, tapping our turn banner brings down the step table, so we’d have to choose a different gesture for repeating the instruction. Long-pressing, maybe? 🤔

Research direction

The issue concerns gesture handling on the turn banner, which currently opens the step table when tapped. Start by locating the turn-banner interaction and the code that repeats spoken instructions; done means a gesture repeats the last instruction without opening the step table.
