Description

Hello,

I have encountered an issue while using the mapbox-navigation-android library. When I try to retrieve the reference to MapView in my code, the returned value is always null.

**Code:**

Here's the code I use to set up MapboxNavigationApp:

```
val navigationOptions = NavigationOptions.Builder(this.context)
.accessToken(this.token)
.build()
MapboxNavigationApp
.setup(navigationOptions)
.attach(this.activity as LifecycleOwner)
var map = binding.navigationView.findViewById(R.id.mapView)
```

And here is the XML code for my view:

```
```

**Problem:**

The value of map is always null, even after correctly initializing MapboxNavigationApp.

**Question:**

Is there something I am doing wrong, or is this a known issue? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Kotlin setup shown in the issue, including MapboxNavigationApp initialization, NavigationView XML, and the findViewById call. Determine why the MapView reference is null and verify the expected behavior after initialization; the issue mentions no source file or test to run.
