LocationPuck2D not showing on Android Devices

I am not able to show the 2D location puck on an android device. Also, puck bearing and pulse are not showing on Apple devices. Here is what I'm using:

Start with the reported _onMapCreated setup and the Android manifest location permissions. Reproduce the issue on Android and Apple devices, checking LocationPuck2D visibility plus puck bearing and pulsing. Done means the reported location-puck features work on the affected platforms or the remaining platform limitation is documented.
