Description

Hi there,

along with the ability of using bearing and pitch angle while navigating mapbox maps, I wish I could also use a roll angle defined by the rotation around the 'camera' optical axis. Even if this sounds strange in a first glance, it will definitely release the 6DoF needed for gazillions of web mapping applications and experiences!

Thanks.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are mentioned. Start by locating the map camera navigation API that handles bearing and pitch, then determine the design and rendering changes needed for a roll angle around the camera optical axis; done means documented, usable six-degree-of-freedom camera behavior.
