Research direction
Reproduce the behavior using the linked demonstrations with a symbol layer, a long CJK text-field value, and zooming in Chrome. Compare the reported offset, reversal, and missing-symbol behavior for the long and short lines. Done means the symbol placement remains stable during zoom and symbols are not unexpectedly missing.
