Description
Mapbox GL JS’s built-in hd-road-v1 style renders 3D interchanges and complex road geometries beautifully, but replicating this effect with custom vector tile data is extremely challenging. Despite following the documentation, my custom road data does not extrude or layer correctly to match Mapbox’s default 3D highway visualizations

Research direction
Start by comparing the custom vector tile data and styling against the documented hd-road-v1 behavior and its 3D interchange and road-layer rendering. Done means the custom road data extrudes and layers correctly to reproduce the built-in 3D highway visualization.
