Description

In Google Maps you can type either a lat/long or a geocoder search into the search box and it will fly there. mapbox-gl-geocoder cannot handle the former, which is both surprising to the user and a limit to its usefulness.

Ideally if you entered a lat/long input it would recognise it (regex?) and simply fly straight there without needing to call to the geocoder api.

Research direction

Start by locating the search-box handling and the path that sends queries to the geocoder API, then inspect how the control moves the map after a result. Define and test recognition of latitude/longitude input; done means valid coordinate searches fly directly to the location without an API call while ordinary geocoder searches continue to work.
