Description

While working on #28, I've come across two research projects:

What do you think about porting those algorithms to Android-friendly Java code and ship as a part of mapbox-gestures-android library, instead of naive implementation found in #28?
Both of those research projects are held under BSD license and are nowhere to be found when it comes to Android.

Research direction

Start by reading issue #28 and the linked $1 Unistroke and $N Multistroke Recognizer research projects. Confirm the scope for an Android-friendly Java port, licensing requirements, and how it should fit into the mapbox-gestures-android library; done means the project has agreed on and shipped that integration.
