Description

Sometimes the layers on a map have different zIndices. leaflet-image is currently layering stuff by position in the DOM (for each layer type). For my application this results in some layers being hidden by other layers even though they have higher zIndex.

I believe it would be better to order the layers by zIndex if it can be reliably retrieved.

Research direction

Start by tracing how leaflet-image collects and orders map layers before rendering them. Verify whether each layer's zIndex can be retrieved reliably, then confirm the rendered image preserves the intended stacking order for layers with different zIndices. No file or test path is identified in the issue.
