Description
It's nice that you have implemented such tool but there is not way to restore table from backup.
Questions:
- why there is no restore option in dynamodb-replicator?
- when I try to restore using dyno (which I assume can read these backups) I end up with error:
s3print s3://some-s3/ull/bba24099b07f53f5/0 | dyno put eu-west-1/TMP_ATSI_ARTIFICIAL_APPLICANT_ID

Research direction
Start by reproducing the s3print-to-dyno put command and inspect how dynamodb-replicator writes backups and how dyno deserializes them. Define whether the work is a restore option or compatible backup output; done means a documented or working path that restores a backup into a DynamoDB table without the shown parsing error.
