color picker from screen doesnt work

colorpicker from screen doesnt work for me - version 1.0.2

if i click on the symbol, (see image, where the blue arrow is pointing) and then at some point on the screen nothing happens.
only the colorpicker dialog is closing

No source file or test is named. Reproduce the screen color picker on the reported Linux Mint Cinnamon X11 setup, starting from the color picker entry point, and compare its behavior when clicking the screen. Done means selecting a screen pixel records its color instead of only closing the dialog.
