Description

Priority: High

Problem

Ask Mantosh is technically capable, but it has not been validated as a product experience for a first-time recruiter or hiring manager. A visitor may not notice it, may not understand what it can answer, or may not know how to use it to evaluate Staff/Principal-level fit quickly.

Goal

Validate whether Ask Mantosh helps a first-time professional visitor complete real evaluation tasks faster and with more confidence.

Scope

  • Define 3–5 realistic recruiter/hiring-manager tasks, such as understanding strongest technical scope, finding evidence for Staff-level ownership, locating relevant projects, or checking experience fit.
  • Test whether first-time visitors notice Ask Mantosh without instruction.
  • Test whether the current launcher, description, suggested questions, and page context explain its purpose clearly.
  • Measure whether visitors can complete the tasks using Ask Mantosh and identify where they hesitate, abandon, or fall back to manual navigation.
  • Compare Ask Mantosh-assisted completion with normal site navigation for the same tasks.
  • Prefer small wording/navigation changes over adding generic chatbot features.

Acceptance criteria

  • A repeatable recruiter-task test is defined.
  • First-time discoverability and comprehension are observed with a small representative reviewer set.
  • Major friction points are recorded with evidence.
  • A keep/change decision is documented for launcher copy, suggested questions, and contextual entry points.
  • Any changes preserve Ask Mantosh's evidence-first, portfolio-specific product boundary.

Research direction

Start with the current Ask Mantosh launcher, description, suggested questions, and page context. Define 3–5 recruiter or hiring-manager tasks, then compare Ask Mantosh-assisted completion with normal site navigation using a small representative reviewer set. Record discoverability, hesitation, abandonment, and evidence, then document keep/change decisions while preserving the evidence-first product boundary.
