Description
Thank you for creating this tool.
Creating policies for google-chrome works as expected on Linux. However new policies are not shown under `chrome://policy/` for `chromium-browser` (installed via apt-get on Ubuntu).
Are custom policies supported for chromium once I add a policy to `/etc/opt/chrome/policies/managed/` or is this rather not possible? A quick search on the internet did not lead to any insight.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the reported behavior with chromium-browser installed via apt-get on Ubuntu, using the policy directory /etc/opt/chrome/policies/managed/ and checking chrome://policy/. Determine whether custom policies are supported for Chromium and document the result; no source file or test is named in the issue.
