Description

Is there an existing issue for this?
  • I have searched the existing issues
Summary

Hi community,
I was searching for this but did not see it. Is there a way to add custom fields (Edit, Drop Down, Checkboxes) to adjust the different elements on personal needs.
Having only e.g. Title / Description is not providing the needed overview on topics.
Is this a topic other ones would be interested too?

Would be great to see that on the roadmap.

Why should this be worked on?

Like in Jira or other solutions, there is a way to adjust the forms to the needs of the use case.

  • Adding custom fields which can be also set or read via api

This would allow

  • to interact with e.g. an issue via api and evaluate dedicated fields for automating workflows e.g. with n8n or other tools.
  • to optimize the layout and overview on issues by allowing transparent visualization of important aspects on this form beside the existing fields

The current solution only allows using the description field which provides strong abilities to use checklists, ... but this information is then embedded in the description with scrolling for visualization and negative impact on automation support.

Thx for your work
Looking forward to see the feedback on this topic.
