Description
Hello, I have problem compiling mccore and MC-annotate on my Macbook. Could you please let me know what commands shall I use?
I do not find the "./configure" file and the "cmake ." command returns some errors.
Many thanks!

Research direction
Start by inspecting the repository's build instructions and the CMake entry point, then reproduce the reported `cmake .` failure on macOS. The work is done when the correct commands for compiling mccore and MC-annotate are verified and documented, including what replaces the missing `./configure` step.
