Product Gallery Image Uploading Not In Order

Preconditions and environment

• Magento 2.4.7 >

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new simple product in the backend.
2. Give it a name, sku and price.
3. Save the product.
4. Go to the Images And Videos tab.
5. Select the browse to find element.
6. Now select multiple images while holding command.
7. Then select open

Expected result

The images you upload are shown in the gallery in order.

Actual result

The images are in a random order and not how you select them

In version 2.4.6 this was not the case. It is since 2.4.7.

Reproduce the upload flow in the Magento 2.4.7 backend under Images and Videos, then compare its ordering with 2.4.6. Review the open pull request #40366 before starting; the issue is done when selecting multiple images preserves their selection order in the product gallery.
