Description

Opponent's Exiled Permanents GUI was in the way of me selecting an opponent to clash with while resolving Recross the Paths, thus locking the game. I'm pretty sure I could've clicked their name if I had thought of moving it out of the way beforehand. I could right click to bring up the menu, but could not left click anything afterwards or concede. The opponent then conceded, taking us to our respective sideboards. I clicked and tried to drag Tormod's Crypt from my sideboard to my main board, but the card image froze and the arrow indicating placement did as well. I could still drag cards from mainboard to sideboard, but could not move anything from my side to my main, leaving my main without 60 cards and forcing me to concede or wait until the allotted game time ran out. This has happened before with my mainboard and sideboard, but without the Recross the Paths bug, and instead of Tormod's Crypt, it was Magus of the Moon. The first time this happened, I thought I could fix the issue by clicking "New" in main deck, but nope. That left me with 0 in the main and 75 in the side with nothing for me to do about it.

It just happened again on the very next game. I managed to roll back to the start of my turn after I couldn't select an opponent to clash with (no GUI in the way this time) but I couldn't left click anything at all except the "x" to close the server.

Edit: Recross the Paths bug happens about 60% to 70% of the time. It's less frequent if I take my time and click each individual card slowly instead of spamming left click. It hasn't happened to me any time I've taken care to not spam.

Research direction

No source files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the Recross the Paths clash-resolution lockup, including slow versus rapid card clicking and the obstructing Exiled Permanents GUI, then investigate the separate sideboard-to-mainboard freeze. Done means both lockups are reproducibly resolved without preventing selections, concessions, or deck edits.
