Description
As a Zedruu deck, in a 2 player game I played Rainbow Vale, tapped it to cast Vedalken Plotter and swapped the tapped Vale with my opponent's land (so by cleanup phase there were two changes of ownership applied for Vale against the same player). On opponent's turn, he taps the Vale and passes it back to me. After this has happened, after I untap Vale, I can't tap it for mana anymore. If I donate it back via Zedruu, the opponent can tap it for mana; if he passes it back to me, I still can't tap it.

Research direction
Reproduce the two-player Zedruu scenario using Rainbow Vale, Vedalken Plotter, and repeated ownership changes, then trace the game state after untap. Done means Rainbow Vale can tap for mana after being passed back, while the reported ownership sequence remains correctly handled.
