My opponent is playing storm. They decided to use LED, then canceled it. However, the log on the side still displayed what was in their hand & said it was discarded, even though they did not go through with it.

It is a bit unfair for me to see their hand, even when they cancel the mana activation ability. I do not know exactly what selections my opponent made (as they were my opponent), but I would be happy to help out in any way I can.

Start by reproducing the Lion's Eye Diamond activation, cancellation, and resulting side log in a game against a storm opponent. Trace how the canceled activation records the hand contents and discard message; done means canceling the mana ability does not reveal the opponent's hand or falsely report a discard.
