Dominate sending a creature to the graveyard?

I apologize if this is another rules question of which I am ignorant, but I fail to understand how taking control of a creature will let them send said creature to the graveyard without a "sacrifice creature" ability somewhere. Is this a bug with the Dominate card or have I missed something?

Start by reproducing the Dominate interaction shown in the attached image and compare its behavior with the applicable Magic rules for controlling a creature and sending it to the graveyard. Identify the card behavior responsible, then verify that the interaction follows the rules and add or update coverage for the corrected outcome.
