Description

Hi,

Please add some basic networking settings.

I would like to be able to specify proxy or socks server to use.

As well as support for VPN. Would love to see a kill switch option for OpenVPN.

That is only allow traffic if routed through OpenVPN. As in, only when VPN is active. Do this now using Windows firewall, but it is a pain.

I'd also like to be able to control what ports to use. Traffic limits would be nice as well. That is max download and upload speed as well as max ratio for seeding back while downloading.

Thank you,

Will

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named; begin by reviewing the Electron and Node.js networking implementation and clarifying which request is in scope. The issue spans proxy/SOCKS, OpenVPN kill-switch behavior, port selection, and transfer limits, so done requires a separately defined behavior and acceptance criteria for each selected setting.
