Description
- This
File Explorer for Visual Studioextension shows the.githubsubfolder already, but it does not have the goodies and shortcuts of the GitHub Node for Visual Studio extension. - Having these 2 extensions in solution explorer side-by-side looks redundant and perhaps confusing.
- So, if the File Explorer includes all the features of GitHubNode extension, I believe it will become a superset of these 2 extensions features, and it'll look cleaner and less confusing in solution explorer.
- If a developer doesn't want the full-blown FileExplorer features, of course she can just install the GitHubNode.

Research direction
Start by comparing the File Explorer for Visual Studio extension with the linked GitHubNode extension and inventory the GitHub Node goodies and shortcuts that are missing. Define the feature set and integration points before making changes. Done means File Explorer provides the GitHubNode features while the two extensions no longer appear redundant.
