Type numbers or use the “enter” key on the numpad

Keypresses should work.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue in MacVim 8.2.2127 on Mojave with :w !sudo tee % >/dev/null, then compare numeric-keypad digits and Enter with terminal Vim. Done means password entry accepts numpad numbers and Enter in the MacVim sudo prompt as expected.
