alternative shortcut idea implemented

compiz used to have a similar thing where you pressed the same combo and it cycled between 2x3 3x3 etc for the active window

i would be better imo instead of having 4 different versions of something + num

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Read the existing shortcut and window-layout handling before deciding how cycling between 2x3 and 3x3 layouts should work for the active window. Done means the proposed shortcut behavior is defined and implemented without requiring several separate layout shortcuts.
