Description
hi!
I'd like to take over lua-readline as well.
Mostly to update the rock file to work right, but i'm actively using it here on freebsd and I'd like to be able to address any freebsd vs non-freebsd readline library stuff.
the existing repo is at https://github.com/motoprogger/lua-readline/ . I've created a new github project (lua-packages) to dump re-authored and new packages into. I've forked it into https://github.com/lua-packages/lua-readline and added an updated rockspec file into the repository.
My luarocks module is at https://luarocks.org/modules/erikarn/lua-readline .
Thanks!

Research direction
Start by comparing the existing motoprogger/lua-readline repository with the lua-packages/lua-readline fork and its updated rockspec. Confirm that the rock file works correctly on FreeBSD and non-FreeBSD systems, including the differing readline library setup, then verify the package through the linked LuaRocks module.
