Description
We don't really want our own version. We should make the switch once https://github.com/haskell/core-libraries-committee/issues/23 is accepted and the change is made.

Research direction
Read core-libraries-committee issue 23 first, since this change is explicitly blocked on its acceptance and the corresponding library update. Once that happens, inspect the repository's current local implementation and replace it with Data.Ord.Down; done means the package no longer maintains its own version and its tests still pass.
