Adding more than a page to a document breaks rendering

I have a two page document, but when I try and print it I only get two white pages.
However if I try and render each page on its own I get the page looking ok.

Start by reproducing the issue with a two-page document, then compare the multi-page rendering path with rendering each page separately. Done means a document containing more than one page renders and prints with visible content on every page, while single-page rendering continues to work.
