Description
From the Reset Management specification:
IPs SHALL NOT implement local resets that wipe configuration registers (especially if there are configuration enables). It is permissible to implement local soft resets that clear datapaths; but these should be examined on a case by case basis for possible security side channels

Research direction
The issue cites the Reset Management specification and asks for Comportability guidance on local resets. Start by locating the existing Comportability or reset-management documentation; done means the guidance records the configuration-register restriction, the limited soft-reset allowance, and the need to consider security side channels.
