Description
### desc
Consider open source digital countermeasures that could be used to guard against FI.
For example, first to fail circuits.
Typically these circuits require a fair bit of calibration and is very closely related to the technology node where it needs to be implemented, so it's not super amenable to technology agnostic open sourcing. But it is something we should look at long term to see what is possible in the open.

Research direction
The issue does not identify files, tests, or an entry point. Start by surveying the existing fault-injection and countermeasure work in the repository, then define a concrete, technology-appropriate open-source deliverable before implementation.
